Brazilian Chicken Stroganoff Recipe
Brazilian Chicken Stroganoff is an everyday classic your familia will love! Much like my Brazilian Beef Stroganoff, this recipe is comforting and delicious. This is an easy recipe made with easy to find, everyday ingredients like chicken breasts, tomato sauce and cream, plus it's ready in about 30 minutes! Serve this creamy goodness with Brazilian white rice and make it even better with crunchy potato sticks on top!

- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
- 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts cut into cubes
- 1 medium-large onion, diced about a heaping cup
- 1 tablespoon of Brazilian Sofrito or 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 15oz can of tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon of ketchup
- 1.5 cups of heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste
Add the cubed chicken pieces to a large dish, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
Place a large heavy bottomed pan or dutch oven over medium to high heat. Add the butter, and let it melt.
Add the chicken pieces and cook them until they start to brown.
Add the onion, and cook until transparent, then add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add in the tomato sauce and the ketchup, let it come to a simmer and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add the cream and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, and serve!
